SASSA will give out the R560 Grant-in-Aid payment in October 2025. This extra money helps people who get social grants and need someone to take care of them because they are very sick. The money goes to the caregivers who look after these sick people full-time. These patients cannot take care of themselves because of serious health problems or disabilities. To get this grant the sick person must already receive a main SASSA grant but not child support or SRD grants. A doctor needs to confirm that the patient needs full-time care. This extra grant aims to help caregivers with their money problems while they look after very sick people who cannot help themselves.
