Updated SASSA November 2025 Payment Schedule

Old Age Grant payments start on Thursday November 2.

Disability Grant payments begin on Friday November 3.

– All Children’s Grants will be paid from Monday November 6.

If you get a Grant-in-Aid you’ll receive it on the same day as your main grant payment. These dates are for permanent social grants only. The money will be available in your account on your payment date.

Latest Grant Amounts and Increment Details

SASSA will give a small R10 increase to most grant holders in November 2025. The budget team planned this raise earlier. Here are the new amounts:

– Older people aged 60-74 will get R2320 instead of R2310

– Those over 75 will receive R2,340 instead of R2330

– People with disabilities will get R2,320 instead of R2,310

– Care dependency payments will be R2,320 instead of R2,310

– War veterans will receive R2,340 instead of R2,330

– Child support stays the same at R560

– Foster care remains at R1,250

While people welcome any extra money the small increase doesn’t help much with rising prices. Most people say it’s not enough to match the high cost of living.

Important Steps for Beneficiaries This Month

Update Your Payment Details If you want to switch from cash to bank payments send your request by the 19th of each month. You need to bring your ID and bank documents when you visit. Fingerprint and Face Scanning SASSA now uses fingerprints and face scans to stop fraud. By September 1 2025 about 42000 people have registered at 432 offices. Office Closures The SASSA office in Johannesburg will close on September 15 2025 because of fraud issues. Staff will move to other locations at Westbury Clinic South Hills and Cosmo City Multipurpose Centre. People who use these services should check which offices are open near them.

Common Challenges and How to Overcome Them

Small Payment Boost The R10 increase is too small to help people deal with rising prices and living costs. Payment Timing Issues Some people might get their money late because of bank problems or system errors. Security Checks New fingerprint scans and stricter ID checks might slow things down for people who need to update their details. Finding Payment Locations Some people will need to go to different places to get their money because some payment points have closed down. They might need to travel a bit further than before.
